Mr. Kerrell Quinn Poston, 65, husband of Margaruite P. Poston, of Scranton, passed away, Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at McLeod Hospice House.
Mr. Poston was born on April 4, 1960, in Florence County, son of the late Flemming “Buster” Talbert Poston and Ruby Lee Ward Poston. Mr. Poston attended Williamsburg School and proudly served in the South Carolina Army National Guard. He was a retired carpenter who took great pride in his work. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching NASCAR and cherished spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 42 years, Margaruite P. Poston, are their children, Dawayne (Brittany) Poston and Kobe (Haylee) Poston; grandchildren, Caleb Poston, Brantly Poston, and Quinn “J.P.” James Poston; great grandchild, Lainey Poston; siblings, Linwood (Donna) Cox, Listen (Edna) McClary, Brenda (Cotton) Marlowe, Ronnie (Juanita) Ward and Anthony (Earlana) Poston; he was also loved by many brothers- and sisters-in-law, along with nieces and nephews.
Mr. Poston was preceded in death by siblings, Dale Poston and Wanda (Bubba) Creel.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM, Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Carolina Funeral Home, with funeral services to follow at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial, with military honors will be at Strickland-Feagin Cemetery, Lake City.
