Obituary
Lamar “BoBo” Wilson Powell, 74, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at McLeod Regional Medical Center of the Pee Dee.
BoBo was born on March 31, 1949, in Florence County, son of the late Richard Powell and Julia Stone Powell. He was a pure innocent soul and never complained. His sense of humor was one of a kind, along with his loveable, sneaky self. BoBo enjoyed watching TV, mostly westerns like Gun Smoke and The Rifleman, while drinking his sweet tea. He loved going to the races with Jessie and he loved Burtus, the dog.
Surviving are his niece, Felisa (Jessie) Parker Lynch of Timmonsville; nephews, Scott (Dodi) Parker of Lake City and Charles (Brenda) Parker of Quinby; 3 great nephews and 6 great nieces.
BoBo was preceded in death by his sister, Bongie Parker; brother-in-law, James L. Parker; nephew, Jimmy W. Parker.
Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon, Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Faith Holiness Church, with burial to follow at Old Landing Cemetery, Pamplico.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Faith Holiness Church, Scranton.
