Laura Mae Miles

Mrs. Laura Mae Miles, 77, of Scranton, passed away Monday, May 20, 2024, at her residence.

Mrs. Miles was born on April 11, 1947, in Georgia, daughter of the late Harvey Franklin Miles and Georgia Mae DeLoach Miles. She attended Olanta Church of God and Salvation Army Church in Columbia. Mrs. Miles formerly worked at Campbell Soup and Lake City Manufacturing Company. She was a loving wife, mama, grandma, granny, sister and friend.

Surviving are her children, Loland Jay (Ruby) Thompson, Marvin Lyn (Vickie) Thompson, James Edward “Eddie” (Billie Ann) McCutcheon, Jewel Miles Jones and Marion “Sam” (Michelle) Miles; siblings, Liddie Hayes, Lola Nell Morris and Brenda Gail (George) Green; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews; good friend, Crystal Ray Miles; aid, Shaquana Meyers; fur baby, Rat Rat.

Mrs. Miles was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, Harold “Buddy” Osborne; son-in-law, John Jones, Sr.; siblings, George Miles, William Miles, Franklin Miles, James Miles, Albert Miles, and Linnie Matthews

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Friday, May 24, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, May 24, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Baldwin-Matthews Cemetery.
