Laurie Cornelius Dennis

Mr. Laurie Cornelius Dennis, 67, husband of Vickie Evans Dennis, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025, at McLeod Hospice House in Florence.

Mr. Dennis was born on August 17, 1957, in Florence, son of the late Bennie Dennis and Florence Elmore Strother. He retired from Welch’s Well Drilling after 50 years of service. Mr. Dennis enjoyed working on his antique cars.

Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Vickie Evans Dennis of Lake City; son, Joey (Ann) Dennis of North Carolina; brothers, Terry (Linda) Dennis of Mullins, Jerry (Teresa) Dennis, Ronnie Dennis and Lester Elmore, all of Florence; granddaughter, Kaylee Dennis of Columbus, Georgia; cousin, Donna Gardner; half-brother, Keith Wilkins of Spartanburg; half-sister, Lynne Dennis of Spartanburg; loving fur babies, Precious and Sissy.

Mr. Dennis was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Dennis.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Little Star Free Will Baptist Church, with burial to follow at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
