Lee Edwards

Mr. Lee Edwards, 82, of Scranton, husband of Gwen Edwards, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at McLeod Regional Medical Center of the Pee Dee.

Mr. Edwards was born on May 12, 1942, in Florence County, son of the late Leslie Edwards and Georgia Summerford Edwards. He was a graduate of Hannah High School, a member of Northside Baptist Chapel and was very involved with his church. Mr. Edwards retired from AB Dick and Coleman Company. He was well known and very proud of his racing and coaching careers.

Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Gwen Taylor Edwards of Scranton; children, Leah Isgett, Ashley (Corey) Smith and Josh (Lacey) Gibbs; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Georgia Lee (Earl) Watson and Wayne (Shelby) Edwards.

Mr. Edwards is preceded in death by a son, Barrett Edwards; siblings, Verna L. Edwards Mercuri, Carl Morgan Edwards, Vera Mae Edwards Holt, Mary Clyde Edwards Lyerly, Muriel Edwards Tanner, Derieux Edwards and Billy Edwards.

Graveside services will be 4:00 PM, Friday, October 11, 2024, at Prosser Cemetery, 3359 Big Swamp Road, Pamplico, SC 29583.
