Lillian (Ard) Evans

Lillian Ard Evans, 88, wife of the late John Spurgan Evans, Jr., died Saturday, March 20, 2021, at her residence.

Mrs. Evans was born on September 16, 1932 in Johnsonville, daughter of the late Joe Sephus Ard and Annie Barnhill Ard. She was a member of New Prospect Free Will Baptist Church for many years and later in life was a member of Mill Branch Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Evans was a good Christian lady was enjoyed working in her house and her yards and taking good care of her family.

Surviving are her son, Sherrell (Melodie) Evans of Johnsonville; daughters, Judy (Mitchell) Bazen of Johnsonville and June (Barry) Bazen of Pamplico; grandchildren, Anthony (Christy) Evans, Ashley (Casey) Evans and Bradley (Allison) Bazen; great grandchildren, Gauge Evans, Landon Bazen, Grantlee Evans and Macie Bazen; honorary granddaughter, Sabrina Floyd; honorary grandson, Lane Floyd; sister, Armago (Carthen) Lyerly of Johnsonville; brother, Jack Ard of Johnsonville.

Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her siblings, Orie Stroud, Louise Cribb, Sam Ard, Noah Ard and Eva Pergram.

Funeral services will be 4:00 PM, Monday, March 22, 2021, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Mill Branch Cemetery, Johnsonville.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 4:00 PM, Monday, March 22, 2021 at Carolina Funeral Home.
