Linda Kay (Wright) Godwin

Linda Kay Wright Godwin, 64, died Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at her residence, after an illness.

Mrs. Godwin was born on May 22, 1956 in Charleston, West Virginia, daughter of the late John Paul Wright and Ruth Larabee Shamblin.

Surviving are her companion, Jack Gasque of Cades; children, Theresa (Johnny) Godwin of Effingham, Samuel (Charity) Godwin of Lake City and Brad (Novel) Godwin of Johnsonville; ten grandchildren, Alexis Pearce, Carmen Huggins, Brenna Huggins, Makayla Hancock, Gage Godwin, Hunter Godwin, Hunter Elmore, Angel Elmore, Alton Rabon and Braden Godwin; three great grandchildren, Remington Rabon, Camryn Rabon and Sullivan Brown; stepfather, Max Shamblin;  siblings, Jerry Larabee, Mansford (Kara) Shamblin, Barbara Mace, Margie Allison, Delores Shamblin and Kemma (Sheldon) Taylor.  

Mrs. Godwin was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack Allison and Neil Shamblin.

Graveside service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Antioch Cemetery, Antioch Loop, Georgetown, SC. 

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
