Lindy Lou (Stone) Evans

Lindy Lou Evans, 81, of Pamplico, widow of Lester “Lonzo” Evans, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at McLeod Regional Medical Center of the Pee Dee.

Mrs. Evans was born on October 13, 1941, in Florence County, daughter of the late Marshall L. Stone and Maggie Curry Stone. She formerly attended New Prospect Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Evans was a loving grandmother and enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren. 

Surviving are her children, Linda “Karen” (B. Burnett) Fennell of Pamplico, Sharon (Harry) Graham of Hemingway and Jimmy “Buck” (Denise) Evans of Pamplico; grandson, Clay (Alley) Fennell of Hemingway, Lesley (R.T) Gillespie of Pamplico, Shannon (Bethany) Graham of Hemingway, Kevin (Amber) Evans of Columbia, Bridget (Terrance) Evans of Turbeville and Kelly (Daniel) McGee of Cades; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Powers of Johnsonville.

Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her husband, Lester “Lonzo” Evans and 8 siblings.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Friday, March 24, 2023, at New Prospect FWB Church, with burial to follow at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
