Lorene Tisdale Gause

Mrs. Lorene Tisdale Gause, 86, of Kingstree, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Carlyle Senior Care of Kingstree.

Born on December 23, 1937, in Williamsburg County, Lorene was the cherished daughter of the late John Clyde Tisdale and Margaret McKnight Tisdale. A lifelong resident of the community, she was a devoted member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Kingstree, where she enriched the lives of many through her faith and service. During her industrious career, Mrs. Gause contributed to the local economy as a dedicated employee at Baxter Industries.

Surviving are son, Willie (Rochelle) McKenzie of Lake City; stepchildren, Rachel Arnold, Grace Whedbee, and Gladys Rodman; sisters-in-law, Linnie Tisdale and Carolyn Tisdale; dear friend, Judy Ard; many grand and great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Mrs. Gause was preceded in death by a son, John Clyde McKenzie; great grandson, Colton Parker; brothers, Furman Graham Tisdale, Willis Tisdale and Winston Tisdale; first husband and father of her children, Elroe Cooper McKenzie; second husband, Freddie Gause.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM – 2:45 PM, Friday, December 27, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home,  

Graveside services will be 3:30 PM, Friday, December 27, 2024, at Kingstree Memorial Gardens.
