Mrs. Loretta Langston Coker, 74, of Lake City, wife of the late Mulder “Mutt” Leron Coker, passed away Friday, December 27, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Coker was born on December 5, 1950, in Florence County, daughter of the late Milber Langston and Bannie Lee Langston. She was a very private person who believed in hard work. Mrs. Coker who was a “Jack of all Trades” enjoyed working in her yard, and sewing. She was very well known by people for her excellent sewing skills. Mrs. Coker did alterations on clothes for many years for her family, friends and general public. Sewing was something she really enjoyed doing every day. She loved spending time with her family and taking her Sunday afternoon rides with her sisters. Mrs. Coker will always be known for her love and dedication to her family and friends.
Surviving are her son, Mulder Brian (Marie) Coker of Lake City; granddaughter, Carlee Coker of Lake City; grandson, Hunter Flowers of Scranton; sisters, Blondell Johnson of Timmonsville, Jeanette Wilkes and Mildred Ackerman, both of Scranton; special sister-in-law, Jeanette Coker of Lake City; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Coker was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Mutt Coker; brother, Charles E. Langston; sisters, Joyce Martin and Bobby Jean Roidl; brother-in-law, Dexter Coker.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM, Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home and other times at the home of Mrs. Loretta Coker.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Lake City Memorial Park.
