Lottie Bell (McKellar) Smith

Lottie Bell McKellar Smith, 80, died Sunday, July 31, 2022, at her daughter’s residence, Scranton.

Mrs. Smith was born on February 25, 1942, in Dillon County, Hamer, daughter of the late Foley Victor McKellar and Willie Mae Locke McKellar. She was a graduate of Hamer High School. Mrs. Smith formally worked at Baxters Laboratory and Sand Hill Christian Academy, where she loved working with children.

Surviving are daughters, Stephanie Smith (Michael) Bell of Seven Lakes, NC, Amanda Smith (Ricky) Ward of Scranton, and Jennifer Smith of Columbia; grandchildren, Lindsey (Justin) Alexander of Florence, Dr. Rebekah (Nick) Riccardi of Columbia and Lane Ward of Scranton; great grandchild, Layton Alexander; two sisters.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by a sister.

The family would like to thank Heather, Danikia, Leah, Nikki and Chaplain Sanderson of McLeod Hospice for the care and support they provided.

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Upper Lee Cemetery, 2135 Salem Road, Scranton.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 2nd at the home, 2051 Salem Road, Scranton.
