Louisa Parrott Sheffield, 88, of Coward, wife of the late Ronnie Sheffield, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023, at McLeod Regional Medical Center of Florence.
Mrs. Sheffield was born on March 14, 1935, in Lake City, daughter of the late Melvin McGee and Minnie Strickland McGee. She was a charter member of High Hill Church of God of Prophecy and spent her time being a caregiver. Mrs. Sheffield was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and mother-in-law.
Surviving are her sons, Melvin “Tottie” Parrott of Sumter, Nelson (Carol) Parrott of Cades, Philip Parrott of Lake City, Curtis (Georgia) Parrott of Lake City and Jimmy Parrott of Coward; daughter, Judy (Kenny) Wallace of Coward; 20 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; 17 great great grandchildren; sister, Jettie Rainer of Effingham; Reverend Melvin McGee, Jr of Bowman.
Mrs. Sheffield was preceded in death by her first husband, Winston Parrott; sons, Edward Parrott and Roger Parrott; grandchildren, Kenneth Wallace, Sommer Wallace, and Joseph Parrott; great grandchildren, Paisley Floyd and Ryan Brotherton; 15 siblings.
A special “Thank You” to Jessica Swinton and Courtney McLaughlin for their loving care for Mrs. Sheffield during her illness.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Monday, October 30, 2023, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Camp Branch Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
