Louise (Langston) Bingham

Louise Langston Bingham, 82, passed away, Thursday, March 14, 2019, at her daughter's home in Florence, after an illness.

Mrs. Bingham was born on June 19, 1936 in Coward, daughter of the late Bill Langston and Ada McKnight Langston.  She was a member of Florence Church of God of Prophecy.  She retired from Baxter Lab in Kingstree and later she and her late husband, Jim later operated J & L Trucking Company.  Louise enjoyed spending time with her family and socializing with friends at the Huddle House. She was first married to the late Lenthus Lynch and later to the late Jim Bingham.  

Surviving are her daughters, Cynthia (Bill) Rhodus of Darlington, Gail (Sammy) Phillips and Sharon (John) Back, both of Florence; grandchildren, Felicia Foster of Darlington, Renee (Robert) Roeder and Garrett (Warren) Wooton, both of Florence,  and Diana Ward of Asheville, NC, Sammy (Megan) Phillips, Jr. of Charleston and Chasity Singletary of Florence; great grandchildren, Emily Foster, Kilei Griffin, Gavin Crews, Bryleigh Phillips, Piper Wooten, Brittany Huggins, Nevaeh Taylor and Christopher Taylor; great-great grandchildren, Adalyn Rowe and Easton Rowe; and sister, Libby Wright of Florence and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

Mrs. Bingham was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Bell Springs; and brothers, Leroy Langston, Billy Langston and Hubert Langston.  

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Wade Lamb and his staff, Amedisys Hospice and staff, especially Adaire Calcutt and Mrs. Ronnie, for their care and love for our mama.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 17, 2019, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton, with burial to follow at Broad Swamp Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery, Kingstree.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 5:00 PM, Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.
