Mrs. Lucille Stone Gray, 84, of Coward, went home to be with her Lord, Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Gray was born on June 24, 1940, in Florence County, daughter of the late Roland Anderson and Lyndal Stone Anderson. Mrs. Gray devoted her life to faith, family, and service. As a pastor’s wife for over 40 years, she stood faithfully beside her husband in ministry, offering unwavering support, spiritual guidance, and love to her church families across the years. She was a long-time member of High Hill Family Worship Center, where her presence was a source of encouragement and strength. Professionally, she worked in Accounting Services for Florence School District 3 until her retirement, where she was known for her dedication and integrity.
Surviving are her son, Michael Allen (Melissa) Gray of Coward; daughter, Donna Lynn Pagan of Lake City; grandsons, Derrick Graziani, Daniel Levi Graziani, and Joseph Justin Lourcey; granddaughters, Dedra Lynn Graziani, Skyler Cheyenne Lourcey, Isabella Addison Gray, and Scarlett Elizabeth Gray; 14 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and second on the way; sister, Gale (Billy) Matthews; special nieces, Libby Drew and Joyce (C.L.) Allen, along with a host of friends.
Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Reverend George Hobson “Sonny” Gray; and a brother, Pete Stone.
Funeral services will be 4:00 PM, Sunday, May 4, 2025, at High Hill Family Worship Center, 2211 N. Old Georgetown, Coward, with burial to follow at Lake City Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Carolina Funeral Home.
The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to Agape Hospice Staff for their love, care and compassion, they gave to our mother.
