Mrs. Lynn Morris Taylor, age 66, of Johnsonville, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025, at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina.
Born on December 8, 1958, in Williamsburg County, she was the daughter of the late Grady Morris and Mary Godwin Morris. Lynn was a 1977 graduate of Johnsonville High School. She spent her career as a material handler in the construction industry before retiring.
Lynn was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who dedicated her life to caring for those she loved. A lifelong caretaker, she was the heart of her family—known for keeping everyone together and always putting others before herself.
She found joy in the simple things: staying home and welcoming visitors, gardening, growing flowers, and caring for her chickens and roosters. In her earlier years, she enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. Lynn loved her family deeply and was happiest when surrounded by them.
She is survived by her husband of 15 years, John Keith Taylor of Johnsonville; her son, Corey Taylor (wife, Hayley) of Johnsonville; and her grandson, Nicholas Taylor of Johnsonville. She is also survived by her stepchildren: J.K. Taylor (wife, Denise) of Jacksonville, FL; Kevin Allen Taylor (wife, Crystal) of Johnsonville; and Jennifer Taylor of Johnsonville; niece, Shayla Morris Altman; and nephew, Cole Morris.
Lynn was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren, including her special granddaughter, Journi Gainey of Johnsonville, who held a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Nicholas Frost, and her brothers, Scotty Morris, Timmy Morris, and Leighton Morris.
At this time, there will be no services.
