Obituary
Mr. Marion “Rod” McKenzie, 68, husband of Angela Collins McKenzie, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023, at his home after an illness.
Rod was born on August 14, 1954, in Lake City, son of the late Covington Raulston “C.R.” McKenzie, Jr. and Eva Ruth Feagin McKenzie. He was a retired truck driver and attended Rehobeth Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are his wife, Angela C. McKenzie of Hemingway; daughter, Jana J. (Franklin) Wright of Barrineau; brother, Dale (Angie) McKenzie of Barrineau; step-sons, Joey (Crystal) Cook and Joedy (Chelsea) Cook, both of Johnsonville; aunts, Ethaline (Lamar) Driggers, Elsie McKenzie, both of Barrineau; uncle, Kenneth (Bobbie) McKenzie of Barrineau; nine grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Rod was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Parker; nephew, Brent Parker; brother-in-law, Reverend Laverne Parker.
A Celebration of Life service will be 5:00 PM, Sunday, April 23, 2023, at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM, Sunday, April 23, 2023, at the church.
