Mark Christopher Whittington

Mark Christopher Whittington, 37, passed away Monday, November 14, 2022 at McLeod Regional Medical Center of the Pee Dee.

Mark was born on November 18, 1984, in Little Rock, Arkansas, son of Michael Lynn Whittington and the late Tequila Brown Haywood. Mark was a jack of all trades, he enjoyed being a carpenter, a mechanic and working in construction.  He was the most care free man who never changed his outlook on life.  He loved everyone and would drop what he was doing to help anyone who needed his help.  Mark loved watching the Clemson football games, hunting, fishing and shooting pool.

Surviving are his father and step-mother, Michael Lynn (Kelley) Whittington of Lancaster, California; son, Bentley “Bean” Whittington; brother, Michael Allen (Melisa) Whittington of Florence; sisters,  Amber (Blake) Huggins of Darlington and Samantha (Brett) Renta of California; grandfather, Wayne Whittington of Effingham and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Mark was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Ann Smith Billups and Edie Whittington.

Memorial Services will be at 5:00 PM, Monday, November 21, 2022 at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton. 

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
