Mary Belle (Lee) Lee

Mrs. Mary Belle Lee, 89, of Scranton, wife of the late Harry B. Lee, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024, at Heritage Home of Florence.

Mrs. Lee was born on September 27, 1934, in Florence County, daughter of the late Blaney Leo Lee and Nettie Lee Lee. She was a longtime member of Lee’s Tabernacle Church, where she held many positions over the years and later in life became a member of Faith Holiness Church. Mrs. Lee retired from Baxter Travenol after 33 years. She was a very independent lady that enjoyed the beach, the mountains and working in her flowers. Mrs. Lee was a wonderful, loving and caring wife and mother who always put her family first.

Surviving are her sons, Rudy (Wanda) Lee and Glenn (Mary “Wonkie”) Lee, both of Scranton; grandsons, Matthew (Mary) Lee, Justin (Sydney) Lee, Derrick Lee and Blane Lee; great grandchildren, Katie Belle, Hannah, Henley Reese and Joey Brooke.

Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jennifer Brooke Lee; sisters, Kathleen L. Melton and Louise L. Davis; brothers, Theodore Lee, Ronald Lee, William Lee, Hoyt Lee and Cleo Lee.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Matthews-Baldwin Cemetery, Lake City.

The family will receive friends immediately following the services.
