Mrs. Mary Ellen Coker Jordan, 79, of Turbeville, wife of Wylie Edward “Jimmy” Jordan, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, at McLeod Regional Medical Center of the Pee Dee, Florence.
Mrs. Jordan was born on May 7, 1946, in Florence County, daughter of Charlton Coker and Jeddie Mae Osborne Coker. Mrs. Jordan attended Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church. She faithfully served as a newspaper carrier for both the Florence Morning News and The State Newspaper for more than 30 years. Mrs. Jordan was an amazing wife, mother, and “Gran Gran” who dearly loved her family. Known as a prayer warrior and cheerful giver, she touched countless lives with her kindness, faith, and generous spirit. She was also the go-to source for family history in the Osborne and Coker families, always cherishing and preserving the stories and memories of those she loved.
Surviving are her husband Wylie Edward “Jimmy” Jordan; children, Eddie (Tonya) Jordan and Susan (Scott) Cyganiewicz; grandchildren, Josh (Lori) Jordan, Haley (Justin) Lane, Logan (Gage) Langston, Ethan Cyganiewicz, and Gavin Cyganiewicz; great grandchildren, Millie Jordan, Riley Jordan, Mason Jordan, Salem Langston, Pierson Jordan, Lizzy Lane, Charleigh Lane and Titus Langston; sisters, Agnes Wright and Gwen (Tony) Lee; brothers-in-law, John Jordan and Billy (Mauri) Jordan; sisters-in-law, Martha (Tracy) Morris and Mary (Joey) Williams; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Mrs. Jordan was preceded in death by two infant children; brothers-in-law, Tony Dennis and Frank Wright; sisters-in-law, Francis Eaddy and Eddie Ruth Jordan.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church, with funeral services to follow at 3:00 PM in the church sanctuary.
Burial will be at Pinedale Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery, Turbeville.
