Mrs. Mary Frances Bryant, 79, wife of the late Ronald “PK” Bryant, passed away Monday, April 7, 2025, at her home.
Mary Frances was born on January 14,1946, in Florence County, daughter of the late Eulice Lawrence Porter and Susan Coker Porter. She formerly worked in the textile industry at Hebron Apparel. She attended Floyd Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mary Frances was a loving and selfless woman who gave her whole heart to her family. As a mother, grandmother, and sister, she was a constant source of love, encouragement, and joy. She cherished her family deeply, and her warmth, kindness, and compassion will be remembered by all who knew her.
She is survived by her two daughters, Rose Mary “Buck” McDaniel of Lake City and Susan Watford of Sumter; her cherished grandchildren, Bryant L. McDaniel, Darby Watford, and Ward Watford; her dear sisters, Kathleen Feagin, Betty Jo Wilkes, and Janie Mae Parker; her brother, Robert “Pete” Porter; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who were all blessed to know her love.
Mary Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald “P K” Bryant; her infant son; her sister, Vinnie Matthews; and her brothers, George Porter, Mack “Big Shot” Porter, Lawrence “Dick” Porter, Larry J. Porter, and Rev. Jim Matthew “Jimmy” Porter.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Floyd Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, with funeral services to follow at 3:00 PM. Burial to follow at Floyd Chapel Cemetery.
