Mattie Nell Floyd McKenzie, 79, wife of the late Jackson Arnette McKenzie, died Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at Carlyle Senior Care of Kingstree.
Mrs. McKenzie was born on October 8, 1940 in Williamsburg County, daughter of the late Ernest Floyd and Earline Parker Floyd. She was a founding member of Cornerstone Ministries. Mrs. McKenzie was a member of the Clarendon County National Federation of the Blind and she centered her life around her family and church family.
Surviving are her children, Michael (Eva Jean) McKenzie, Gregg McKenzie and Marty R. McKenzie, all of Lake City; and Brad (Suzette) McKenzie of Andrews; grandchildren, Jason (Ann) McKenzie, Craig (Jessica) McKenzie, Travis McKenzie, Bradley (Elizabeth) McKenzie, Alexis McKenzie, Sloan McKenzie, Payne McKenzie, Stormy McKenzie and Rivers Martin; great grandchildren, Dylan McKenzie, Damian McKenzie, Laya McKenzie, Lona McKenzie and Blaire McKenzie; sisters, Kathleen Dorrell and Maebell Caulder; special family friend, Trent Tedder and caregiver, Jerleen Burgess.
Mrs. McKenzie was preceded in death by three brothers, Baby Ernest Floyd, David "Butch" Floyd and Carlisle Floyd.
Funeral services will be 4:00 PM, Friday, June 26, 2020, at Cornerstone Ministries. Private burial will be at Floyd Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
