Mitchell Eugene Ward

Mitchell Eugene Ward, 66, died Friday, August 27, 2021, at his residence.

Mr. Ward was born on April 30, 1955 in Florence County, son of the late Howard Mitchell Ward and Willa Snow Jones Ward. He was a carpenter and sub-contractor in construction for many years. Mitchell enjoyed fishing, water skiing and loved watching westerns. He also loved spending time on the beach with family and friends.

Surviving are his wife, Patrice Ward of Murrells Inlet; son, Patrick Ward of Florence; daughters, Michelle Ward of Sumter, Faith McCutcheon and Jordan Polk, both of Florence; grandchildren, Holden, Jacklyn, Jamen, Jenna Paige; brother, Ricky (Amanda) Ward of Scranton; sisters, Marie (Luther) Stone of Lake City, Marlo McCutcheon of Coward and Melissa (Terry) Altman of Lake City.

Mr. Ward was preceded in death by his son, Brandon Ward; nephew, Matthew McCutcheon and brother-in-law, Andy McCutcheon.

Graveside services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Tabernacle Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
