Mona (Moulds) Morris

Mona Moulds Morris, 57, wife of Michael D. "Danny" Morris, Sr., died Saturday, June 08, 2019, at her residence.

Mrs. Morris was born on June 14, 1961 in Florence County, daughter of the late James W. Moulds and Ila Campbell Moulds.  She was a graduate of Hudgens Academy and was a faithful member of Northside Baptist where she served as choir director.  Mona enjoyed cooking and being "GiGi" to her grandchildren.  She was a very caring person and was always willing to help those in need.

Surviving are her husband, Michael D. "Danny" Morris, Sr. of Lake City; son, Michael D. "Mike" (Nicole) Morris, Jr. of Florence; daughter, Emily (Scott) Matthews of Lake City; grandchildren, Hannah Grace Matthews, Sawyer Morris, Jase Matthews and Porter Morris; siblings, Reverend Paul (Peggy) Moulds, Sylvia (Russell) Miles, Annie Lou (Wallace) Strickland and Lila Mae (Keith) McCutcheon and a number of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends 

Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Anna Kathryn Matthews; and a brother, James David Moulds.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, June 10, 2019, at Northside Baptist Church, Lake City. Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, will follow at Lake City Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Sunday, June 9, 2019, at the church.
