Monroe David Feagin

Mr. Monroe David Feagin, 76, of Pamplico, husband of Sheri Thomas Feagin, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, at his home.

Mr. Feagin was born on June 7, 1949, in Williamsburg County, son of James M. Feagin and Letha Conyers Feagin. Mr. Feagin was of the Church of God faith. He dedicated many years of his life to his work, spending 28 years with Colonial Rubber and an additional 9 years with W. Lee Flowers. In his free time, he found great joy in the simple pleasures of life—spending time with his family, fishing, and being near the water. He was also an avid fan of wrestling and cherished trips to the beach, where he especially enjoyed playing Putt-Putt.

Surviving are his wife, Sheri Thomas Feagin; grandchildren, Ashley Matthews and Eric (Taylor) Matthews, Lindsey Matthews and Dustin (Ashley) Matthews; great grandchildren, Brittany Sims, AJ Matthews, Alyssa Matthews, and Bailey Matthews; sisters, Glenda Gibbons and Mary Jean Ard; step-son, Marion (Hope) Poston; step daughter, Annie Baylor; along with extended family members including nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.   

Mr. Feagin was preceded in death by his children, Joey Matthews, Danny Matthews and David Feagin; brothers, Hagood Feagin, Junior Feagin; brother-in-law, Heyward Gibbons; First wife and mother of his children, Barbara Jean Mims Feagin.  

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM, Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Carolina Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 3:00 PM in chapel.

Burial will follow at Old Piney Grove Cemetery, Lake City.
