Norma Joyce Rollins Threatt

Norma Joyce Rollins Threatt, 85, wife of the late Roy W. Threatt, died Sunday, April 3, 2022, at McLeod Hospice House, after an illness.

Joyce was born on December 2, 1936, in Patrick, SC, daughter of the late Eulah Rollins and Blanche Jordan Locke. She was a 1954 graduate of Cheraw High School and earned an Associate degree from the Palmer Business College in Columbia. She specialized in office management, bookkeeping and tax preparation. Joyce worked for a number of years in the Statesville, NC Clerk of Court Office, Child Support Division, retiring in 2001. Her hobby and second love came together as an antique and depression glass dealer, selling antiques all over North and South Carolina at shows for over fifty years. Her greatest love in life was rearing three strong willed children to believe in Jesus Christ. She was very proud of her two beautiful granddaughters, Charleigh and Chesney.

Joyce is survived by her son, Clarke Threatt of Florence; daughters, Marti (Richard) Sprawls of Florence, Mandi (Tommy Byrd) Blackmon of Dillon; granddaughters, Charleigh Elise Sprawls and Chesney Joelle Blackmon, both of Florence; brother, Calvin (Beverly) Rollins of Cheraw; sister, Wanda Rollins Sartor of Cheraw. She was preceded in death by a sister, Faye Rollins Newsome.

Funeral services will be 7:00 PM, Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Entombment will be in the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
