Mrs. Pamela Powell Kirby, 66, widow of the late Michael David Kirby, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2025, at her home in Cades.
Mrs. Kirby was born on October 16, 1958, in Florence County, daughter of Agnes Lynch Powell and the late Ralph Powell. She attended Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mrs. Kirby, a proud graduate of Lake City High School, dedicated many years to serving her community as a teller and CSR at Citizens Bank. After a fulfilling career, she retired from Citizens Bank, leaving behind a legacy of dedicated service. She was a proud “MeMe”, who adored her grandchildren and loved to watch them at sporting events and dance recitals.
Surviving are her son, Mikey (Allison) Kirby of Turbeville; daughter, Marie (Craig) Brown of Lake City; grandchildren, Lydia Kirby, Alyssa Brown and David Kirby; sister, Susan (Zander) Rodgers; aunts, uncles and other extended family members.
Mrs. Kirby was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Powell.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM, Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church and other times at the home of Craig and Marie Brown, 682 Cooktown Road, Lake City.
Funeral services will be 4:00 PM, Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church, with burial to follow at Floyd Chapel Cemetery.
