Mrs. Patricia Ann Baxley, 74, of Olanta, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Baxley was born on February 12, 1951, in Florence, daughter of the late George Arlington Baxley and Carrie Mozell Floyd Baxley. Mrs. Baxley was of the Pentecostal faith and faithfully lived her life guided by those beliefs. She formerly worked as a machine operator but spent most of her life as a dedicated homemaker. A loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she cherished her family and was a true friend to many. Her kindness, strength, and caring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving are her son, Chris (Lisa) Matthews; daughter, Shannon (Michael) Cantey; grandchildren, Rev. Michael (Hannah) Cantey, Bryce Matthews, Anna (Westley) Hall and LeAnn (Dustin) Prince; great grandchildren, Elsie Cantey, Addie Cantey, John Michael Cantey, Teague Cantey, Lydia Cantey, Jack Hall and one on the way; brothers, Levon Baxley and Cliff (Connie) Baxley; special niece, Lynda Morris; former husband, great friend and caretaker, Sammie Lee; sister-in-law, Frankie Baxley; beloved fur baby, Trixie; along with numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.
Mrs. Baxley was preceded in death by brothers, Milton Baxley and Garland Baxley; sister, Ruby Lee Baxley; sisters-in-law, Dell Baxley, Hazel Baxley and Gail Baxley.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Carolina Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel with the Reverend Michael Cantey officiating.
Burial will be private.
