Patricia Ann Smith

Miss Patricia Ann Smith, 55, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 19, 2025.

Patricia was born on July 24, 1969, in Florence, South Carolina to the late Mr. Willie Gray and Mrs. Doris Jean Bland Smith.

Patricia began residing at The Oaks, an ICF/IDD home, on September 2, 2014. She later transitioned to Gable Ridge, a Community Training Home, on February 11, 2015, where she lived for several years. On April 7, 2021, she moved to The Cedars, an ICF/IDD home located in Pamplico, South Carolina, where she remained until her passing. Patricia enjoyed attending Day Programming at the IW Canupp Training Center and found joy in spending time with her housemates. She will be fondly remembered for her kind spirit and her love of drawing and writing, which brought smiles to those around her.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents Mr. Willie Gray Smith and Mrs. Doris Jean Bland Smith and her brothers Billy Ray Smith, Sr. and Kenny Smith.  Surviving is her sister, Linda Hughes, two brothers, Garland Smith and Steve Smith.

We would like to acknowledge the staff and caregivers from The Cedars, ICF/IDD operated by the Florence County Disabilities and Special Needs Board, who loved and cared for Patricia. Patricia was a special gift from God.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Lake City Cemetery.
