Mrs. Patsy Ann Parker Powell, 76, wife of Robert Lee Powell, Sr., passed away Friday, August 29, 2025, at her residence in Kingstree, surrounded by family.
Mrs. Powell was born on July 21, 1949, in Cades, daughter of the late Marvin Thomas Parker and Evelina Mintie Strickland Parker. She worked as a legal assistant for several law firms throughout her career, where she was admired for her dedication and professionalism. A faithful member of Kingstree Church of God, she loved church music and served as a Sunday School teacher, treasurer, and devoted prayer warrior. She faithfully attended church until her health declined, yet she remained steadfast in her faith and prayer life.
Known for her godly character and ever-present smile, she touched many lives with her kindness and encouragement. She deeply loved her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the joy of her life. She also found great delight in tending her flowers, particularly her cherished Confederate roses, and in spending peaceful moments outdoors watching hummingbirds.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are her son, Robert Lee (Crystal) Powell, Jr. of Kingstree; grandsons, Patrick Shead (Holli) Powell and Robert Brandon (Stephanie) Powell; great grandchildren, Leighten Patrick Powell, Owen Glen Powell, Jasper Angela Rose Young, Sadie Eliana Powell and Declan Lewis Powell; sisters, Linda (Dan) Moyer of Ohio and Linn (Rusty) Bell of Timmonsville; brother, Tommy (Kathy) Parker of Anderson.
