Obituary
Peggy Poston Walden, 82, wife of the late Donald Arthur Walden, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023, at McLeod Hospice House.
Mrs. Walden was born on March 27, 1941, in Orangeburg County, daughter of the late Julious J. Poston and Annie Phillips Poston. She was a member of Kershaw Church of God and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving are her children, Wayne (Wendy) Walden of McBee, Reverend Timothy (Lana) Walden of Lake City and Michael (Amy) Walden of Lexington; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Walden was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Kay Walden; great grandson, Jeremiah Walden; 6 sisters and 4 brothers.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, August 6, 2023, at Little Star Free Will Baptist Church, 2750 Lake City Highway, Lake City, SC 29560. Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, to follow at Prosser Cemetery, 3359 Big Swamp Road, Pamplico, SC 29583.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM, Sunday, August 6, 2023, at Little Star Free Will Baptist Church.
