Preston Carl Pack, 18, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025, at MUSC Florence.
Preston was born on January 18, 2007, in Sumter, son of Carl Benjamin “Ben” Pack, IV and Jennifer Eugena Smith. He was a member Providence Baptist Church in Sumter. Preston was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed spending time on the lake as well as hunting and fishing. Preston also cherished spending time with friends and family.
Surviving in addition to his parents are sisters, KayLee McClellan, Madison ‘Maddie” Pack; brother, Aiden Smith; grandmothers, Linda Antuna (Gilbert Herrera) and Vickie Self (Roscoe Cheeseboro); great grandmothers, Sara Pack and Judy Qualls; aunts and uncles, Cristy (Ryan) Carter, Amanda (George) Tschorn, Scotty (Brandi) Huggins and Tony Pack; girlfriend, Elizabeth Huggins and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and extended family.
Preston was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Carl Benjamin Pack, III, and James Lee Juniour Self; great grandmother, Pearlean McGee; great grandfather, John Samuel McGee.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at New Piney Grove Church Cemetery, Lake City.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM, Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at the funeral home, and other times at 3071 Quail Lane, Coward, SC 29530.
