Rachel Bline Obituary

 

Rachel Lawrence Bline, 78, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Pelham Medical Center in Greer, SC after an illness.

Mrs. Bline was born on October 29, 1942 in Florence County, daughter of the late George Alton Lawrence and Audrey Mae Moore Lawrence. She was a graduate of Lake City High School and Florence Darlington Technical College and was a retired newspaper reporter for the Lake City News and Post. She was a loving and dedicated caregiver to many loved ones. She especially enjoyed gardening and was a country girl at heart, with a great sense of humor.

Surviving are her daughter, Jenny (George) Genero of Greenville; granddaughters, Marisa Genero and Michelle Genero; sister, Jane Lawrence of Greenville; brothers, Herman Lawrence of Columbia and Alton (Katrina) Lawrence of Lake City; niece, Stephanie Lasek of Charleston; nephew and niece, John Lawrence of Austin, TX, and Skylar Lawrence Coonan of Portland, OR; godson, John Baker of Mars Hill, SC.

She was preceded in death of a son, Michael Craig Bline and brother, Franklin Lawrence.

Graveside services will be 1:30 PM, Saturday, December 5, 2020 at Lake City Memorial Park.
