Randolph Welch Obituary

Randolph Welch, 81, husband of Kay James Welch, died Saturday, July 18, 2020, at The Heritage Home of Florence.

Randolph was born on April 25, 1939 in Florence County, son of the late Annie Lee Welch. He was a graduate of J. C. Lynch High School and a United States Army Veteran. Randolph was the retired owner of Godwin & Welch Grocery, a member of New Zion Baptist Church and was an avid Clemson fan.

Surviving are his wife, Kay James Welch of Lake City; son, Scotty (Becky) Welch of Mt. Pleasant; daughter, Cindy Carson of Greenville; stepson, Scott Anderson; grandchildren, Maggie Welch and Anna Welch, both of Mt Pleasant; and sister-in-law, Nettie McCutcheon of Lake City.

Randolph was preceded in death by his first wife, Janice Godwin Welch; and sister-in-law, Sarah King.

Graveside services will be private.
