Rebecca Ann Richardson, 63, died Sunday, February 9, 2020, at McLeod Hospice House in Florence after an illness.
Ms. Richardson was born in Lake City, daughter of the late James Moore Richardson, Sr. and Sylvia Kelley Richardson. She was a graduate of Hudgens Academy, Columbia College and the University of South Carolina. Ann was a retired speech therapist with Florence County School District #3. She was a member of Lake City United Methodist Church and its Women’s Circle #5, Robert Tucker Class, Lake City Junior Sorosis Club, Lunch Bunch Club, Wednesday Afternoon Book Club, Captain D’s Club, Three Rivers Genealogical Society, and Friends of Lake City Library.
Surviving are her brothers, Dr. Jim (Betsy) Richardson of Pawleys Island and Joe (Elaine) Richardson of Lake City; niece, Emily Richardson of Murrells Inlet and nephews, Jay Richardson of Charleston and Jeffrey (Monica) Kirby of Charleston.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 3:00 PM Tuesday, February 11, 2020, at the Lake City United Methodist Church. Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, will be private at Lake City Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the Lake City United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.
