Reola Bernice "Lola" Jones Crawford, 85, wife of the late Marion Legrand "Burger" Crawford, died Saturday, September 28, 2019, at her home in Coward after an illness.
Mrs. Crawford was born on February 28, 1934 in Florence County, daughter of the late Walter James Jones and Marie Barrineau Jones. Her sweet spirit will be missed. She was a homemaker, loved her family and her church. Mrs. Lola was a member of The Bible Temple, served as a Sunday School teacher over 40 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.
Surviving are her children; Darrell (Dean) Crawford of Scranton and Barbara Crawford of Coward; six grandchildren, Phoebe (Will) Sheppard of Scranton, Chasity (Kipp) Coker of Manning, Angel Crawford Miles of Coward, Jody Crawford of Scranton, Terrace Crawford of Columbia and Christina Rivera of N. Charleston; six great grandchildren, Casey Garris, Jordan Chockley, Landon Miles, Evan Coker, Camryn Coker and Rivers Crawford; a daughter-in-law, Rita (Jimmy) Howell; siblings, Hazel Meeks of NC, Billy (Sue) Driggers of Effingham, Harry (Lucille) Driggers of Effingham, Clarice Cotton of Durham, NC and Nell Bush of Murrells Inlet;
Mrs. Crawford was preceded in death her husband; Marion "Burger" Crawford, son; Terry Legrand Crawford, ten sisters; and three brothers.
Funeral services will be at Bible Temple, Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at 11 AM. Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, will follow at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Monday, September 30, 2019, at Carolina Funeral Home.
