Reverend Mark E. Leonard

Reverend Mark E. Leonard, 60, husband of Myra Matthews Leonard, died Friday, March 2, 2018, at home after an illness. 

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, March 5, 2018, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton, with burial to follow at Mossy Grove Cemetery, Coward.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Sunday, March 4, 2018, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.

Reverend Leonard was born on January 2, 1958, in Dayton, Ohio, son of Dellene Meek Leonard and the late Albert E. Leonard. He was a graduate of Park Hills High School in Fairborn, Ohio and Welch College in Nashville, Tennessee.  Reverend Leonard was a retired Free Will Baptist Minister, who had served a number of churches in Ohio and South Carolina for over 40 years. He and his wife enjoyed music and served many years in youth ministry.

Surviving in addition to his mother of Fairborn, Ohio, are his wife, Myra M. Leonard of Pamplico; son, Michael A. Leonard of Pamplico; daughter, Marisa C. Leonard of Pamplico; sister, Diane L. (Steve) Foutz of Fairborn, Ohio; and brother, Reverend  James M. (Angie) Leonard of Grand Blanc, Michigan.

Memorials may be made to Welch College, 1045 Bison Trail, Gallatin, Tennessee, 37066.
