Robbie LaRue Godwin

Mr. Robbie LaRue Godwin, 74, of Lake City, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence.

Mr. Godwin was born on February 15, 1951, in Florence County, son of Zola Brooke Godwin and the late Plinktee Milvee Pridgen Godwin. Mr. Godwin was a graduate of J. Paul Truluck High School and retired as a Patient Care Technician with Bruce Hall in Florence. He was an animal lover who especially enjoyed horseback riding and spending time outdoors, and he will be remembered for his gentle and caring nature.

Surviving in addition to his father, are his children, Graham Wade Godwin and Laurie (Dustin) Branham; grandson, Liam Rotan; partner, Jackie Tyler; brother, Ronald (Amy) Godwin; mother of his children, Lee Godwin.

Mr. Godwin was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Godwin Cook.

Funeral services will be private.
