Mr. Rodger Wayne Cook, 67, of Scranton, passed away May 24, 2024, at MUSC Health Black River Medical Center.
Mr. Cook was born on July 11, 1956, in Florence County, son of the late Roy Cook and Frances Gaskins Cook. He retired from Hudson Metal as an equipment operator. Mr. Cook was a member of Friendfield Pentecostal Holiness Church. He loved fishing from the pier in Myrtle Beach, hunting and cutting grass. Mr. Cook was always a happy person and loved to go out to eat with anyone.
Surviving are his sibling, Barbara (Tex) Driggers of Florence, Roy (Mary) Cook of Lamar, Lynn Cook of Florence, Jerry Cook and Jeanette Lewellyn, both of Timmonsville; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Peggy Miles of Scranton.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 26, 2024, at Friendfield Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 26, 2024, at Friendfield Pentecostal Holiness Church, with burial to follow at the church cemetery.
