Rodney Dalton Eaddy, 71, of Pioneer, TN, departed this life Friday, May 24, 2024, at UT Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. He was the son of the late Geoffrey and Paula Poston Eaddy. Rod was a proud member of the U.S. Army and served from 1971 – 1979 in Alaska, Arizona, Georgia and Okinawa.
He was a retired distribution center manager for Freight Handlers Inc. in Clinton, TN. He enjoyed dirt track racing in the “22” car at Sumter Speedway, hunting, caramel frappes every morning and spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his contagious smile, kindness, love for others, humorous personality, as a devoted father and grandpa, and for his generosity and selflessness.
In addition to his parents, Rodney is preceded in death by his sister, Cindi Knight and Father-in-law and best friend, Larry Bramlette.
He is survived by his companion, Brenda Eaddy; son, Brian Eaddy and wife, Brandy of South Carolina; daughters, Michelle Norman and husband Dusty of LaFollette, TN, Kayla Goodman and husband Jamie of Huntsville, TN; grandchildren, Jordan Goodman and wife Mercedes, Montana Goodman (Tara), Kody Norman and wife Christa, Kaitlynn Whiteaker (Jonathan), Makenzie Hall and husband Steven, Chloe Whitaker (Noah), Karlie Norman (Jonathan) and Kaylee Goodman; great grandchildren, Hunter, Brentley, Nakiah, Asher, Nolan, Amari, Norah, Emberleigh, Nora and Myla; brother-in-law, Don Knight; niece, Kellie Powell; nephew, Drew Powell and a host of other family and friends.
A Graveside Memorial Service with full Military Honors will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Prosser Cemetery, Pamplico.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prosser Cemetery, 3359 Big Swamp Road, Pamplico, SC 29583.
