Mr. Roger Dean Meadows, 61, of Florence, passed away Friday, June 27, 2025.
Mr. Roger was born on September 18, 1963, in Baltimore, Maryland, son of the late Albert Eugene Meadows and Loretta Phillips Meadows. Mr. Roger was a dedicated delivery driver, having worked for Pet Dairy for over 20 years and later with Aramark for more than a decade. Known for his strong work ethic and lighthearted spirit, he brought laughter to those around him as a natural prankster and jokester. He deeply loved his family and took great pride in being a grandfather—a role he cherished dearly. He never missed a family gathering and was always present for every get-together, where his laughter and presence lit up the room.
For the past 25 years, Mr. Roger was the proud co-founder of the Scranton Haunted Trail, a beloved community tradition he poured his heart into each year. The Haunted Trail was more than a seasonal event—it was his passion project and favorite sidekick, bringing joy and thrills to countless families and friends. His legacy of humor, dedication, and love for both his family and community will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Surviving are his children, Sara Summer Meadows of Summerville, Taylor Meadows of Summerville and Trever Meadows of Colorado Springs, Co; grandchild, Greyson Dean Rose Meadows; nieces, Taylor Bridges and Jackie Bennett; nephews, Alec Brisebois, Matthew Bridges and Michael Brisebois; brother, Greg Meadows; sister, Debbie Meadows (Billy) Ivey.
Mr. Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Tracy McGee Meadows.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Service will be private.
