Roger Glenn Owens, 77, husband of Darnell Cox Owens, died Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at his residence.
Mr. Owens was born September 16, 1944 in Georgetown County, son of the late Laurice Cortez Owens and Ruby Edith Avant Owens.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Darnell Cox Owens of Hemingway; children, Kevin (Dee) Owens and Maria Owens Coker, both of Hemingway, Dale Owens of Decatur, AL and Wanda Owens (Anthony) Thompson of Hemingway; siblings, Cortez (Martha) Owens, Suzanne (Johnny) Pope, Vickie (Randy) Zurcher, and Keith (Cindy) Owens, all of Hemingway; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Mr. Owens was predeceased by his siblings, Travis Owens, Lyndon Owens and Damon Owens; son-in-law, Jimmy Coker.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Rose Hill Baptist Church, Georgetown, SC. Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, to follow at Eaddy-Ford Cemetery, Johnsonville, SC.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM, Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Rose Hill Baptist Church, 4572 Rose Hill Road, Georgetown, SC.
