Mrs. Rosalie Antoinette Coppage, 81, of Pamplico, wife of the late Carlin E. Coppage, Jr., passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024, at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center.
Mrs. Coppage was born on April 13, 1943, in Washington D.C, daughter of the late Nick A. Sampogna and Marjorie V. Ponn Sampogna. A devoted mother to her 11 children, Mrs. Coppage cherished her large family and took great joy in her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren. She was a constant source of love, support, and guidance for them all. She possessed a creative spirit and a love for crafting, finding solace and joy in creating beautiful handmade items. She and her husband, Carl, shared a passion for exploring new restaurants and experiencing the vibrant atmosphere of Broadway at the Beach. Mrs. Coppage was known for her warm heart and helping hand, always ready to offer assistance to those in need. Her love for people was evident in her interactions with everyone she met and especially with her best friend, Barbara Tippett. She had a very special bond with her granddaughters Virginia and Tamaran, great grandson, Douglas, great granddaughter Danay and her great great granddaughter, Amiri.
She was preceded in death by 2 children and a brother.
Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Florence National Cemetery.
