Mrs. Ruby Yarborough Floyd, 79, wife of the late Linwood Mack Floyd, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2025, at McLeod Hospice House in Florence.
Mrs. Floyd was born on November 4, 1945, in Coward, the daughter of the late Eunice and Thelma Yarborough. She was a graduate of J.C. Lynch High School and worked as a supervisor at GE prior to dedicating time to family as a full-time homemaker. A devoted Christian woman, she served faithfully as a Sunday School teacher, Children's Church Director, and Missionary Leader. She was currently attending Central Holiness Church. Known for her deep compassion, generous heart, and unwavering faith, she lived out her beliefs daily. She loved reading the Bible and sharing God’s word with others, always leading by example with kindness, grace, and a giving spirit.
Surviving are her children, John (Patricia) Floyd of Effingham, Luanne (Jonathan) White of Coward and Tommy (Teresa) Floyd of Henry, Tennessee; grandchildren, Olivia Floyd, Madison Floyd, Emma White, T.J. Floyd, Kayla Floyd, Jaceigh Floyd and Gracie Floyd; brother, Tom Yarborough; along with many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by her sisters, Nancy Carmon, Susan Brown, Cecil Faye Yarborough, Margaret E. “Betty” Yarborough and Debra Miller.
Services will be private.
