Sherrie Brookens Obituary

Sherrie Brookens, 73, wife of Art Brookens, died Thursday, November 26, 2020 at McLeod Hospice House, after a battle with cancer.

Mrs. Brookens was born on August 18, 1947 in Renovo, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Harry Leroy "Tuny" Herritt and Annabelle Jesberger Herritt.

Surviving are her husband of 20 years, Art Brookens; children, Jennifer (Meco) Scrimshaw of Largo, Fl, Wayde Brookens, of Mill Hall, PA, Tammy (Wayne) Altman and Tara Brookens, both of Johnsonville; grandchildren, Mark A. (Cynthia) Scrimshaw, Megan Brookens, Dyllan Brookens, Hailey Brookens, Chris (Blake) Brookens and Matthew Altman; great grandchildren, Jayden Scrimshaw, Jordyn Scrimshaw, Lillie Brookens and Hayes Brookens; siblings, Sandra (Harry) Stroup, Richard Herritt and Cindy Purvis.

Mrs. Brookens was preceded by a brother, Stanley Herritt.

Per Mrs. Brookens request, there will be no public services.

A Celebration of Life will be at the discretion of the family.
