Mrs. Shirley M. Perdue, 82, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Perdue was born on June 11, 1943, in Sumter County, daughter of the late Mayo Hagood Morris and Bernice Weaver Morris. She was a devoted prayer warrior and faithful member of Salem Free Will Baptist Church. In her earlier years, she attended Gilead Free Will Baptist Church. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a seamstress with Wentworth Manufacturing Company. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and caring for her flowers.
Surviving are her daughters, Sheree (C. N.) Dennis and Linda Lamb; grandchildren, Matthew Dennis, Jennifer Kirby, Kala (Justin) Poston and Timmy Lamb; great grandchildren, Walker Kirby, Wyatt Kirby, Madalynn Kirby, Emma Kate Poston and Rivers Poston; sister, Mirian Sims; and many special nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Perdue was preceded in death by her first husband and the father to her children, James David Moulds, Sr; second husband, Robert Sullivan and third husband, John Alton Perdue; son, James David Moulds, Jr; son-in-law, James H. Lamb; grandson, Christopher N. Dennis; sister, Sara Morris Smith and brother, Oland Morris.
The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to Amedisys Hospice and her sitters for all the love and care they gave to their mother.
Memorials may be made to Salem Free Will Baptist Church, 2337 McAllister Mill Rd, Scranton, SC 29591, or Turbeville Children’s Home, 5232 W Turbeville Hwy, Turbeville, SC 29162, in memory of Shirley Morris Perdue.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Carolina Funeral Home, with funeral services to follow at 12:00 PM in the chapel. Burial will follow at Lake City Memorial Park.
