Mr. Stephen G. McKnight, 53, of Pamplico, husband of Tamara Koonts McKnight, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026, at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center.
Mr. McKnight was born on June 4, 1973, in Florence, SC, son of Basil Glenn McKnight and the late Johnnie Mae Tilton McKnight. Mr. McKnight was a skilled electrician and a hardworking man who took great pride in everything he did. A devoted husband of 31 years, he was a wonderful daddy, a loving son, and a steadfast provider for his family. He enjoyed fishing, repairing and restoring cars. Gifted with a creative spirit, he was also a talented artist who loved to draw and paint. Whether working with his hands, creating art, or spending time with those he loved, Mr. McKnight's dedication, talent, and kind heart left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Surviving are his wife Tamara K. McKnight of Pamplico; children, Christian McKnight, Stephen McKnight, Elijah McKnight and Alaska McKnight of Pamplico, Jacob McKnight and Michael McKnight of NC; sister, Angela Gail Hinkle of Lexington, NC; father, Basil Glenn McKnight.
Mr. McKnight was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth McKnight and his mother, Johnnie Mae Tilton McKnight.
A family-led memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, June 26, 2026, at Beulah Baptist Church, Pamplico, SC.
