Steve Nettles

Mr. Steve Nettles, 58, husband of Laurie Boyington Nettles, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Nettles was born on August 17, 1967, in Florence, the son of the late Lloyd Nettles and Betty Garner Yarborough.  He faithfully served his country with the South Carolina National Guard and also worked as a self-employed carpenter before his health declined. Steve was a loving husband, father and “Bubba” to his grandchildren.

Surviving, are his wife of 39 years, Laurie Boyington Nettles; his children, Ashley (Brandon) Littler and Caleb (Breanna) Nettles; grandchildren Theo and Madeline Nettles; three siblings; father and mother-in-law, Jimmy and Linda Boyington; and other extended family.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Nettles was preceded in death by his step-father, Jack Yarborough.

The family will receive friends from  2:00 to 3:00 PM, Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Carolina Funeral Home, with funeral services to follow at 3:00 PM in the chapel.

Burial will follow at the Bible Temple Cemetery  – Garden of Rest.
