Obituary
Susan Barfield, 50, of Coward, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023, at her residence.
Susan was born on July 24, 1972, in Annapolis, Maryland, daughter of Reverend Ray Barfield and the late Jeanette Spring Barfield. She received a Bachelor’s degree for Business Administration from Coker College. She enjoyed camping, going to the beach and spending time by the pool. Susan loved spending time with her family and her dog, Maggie. She was an honest, caring person and will be missed.
Surviving are her spouse, Micheal Puckett of Coward; son, Michael (Kathryn) Barfield of Elkton, Maryland; father, Reverend Ray Barfield of Scranton; sister, Sandy (Jody) Miles of Scranton; nieces, Traci (Bryan) Carraway of Lake City and Kasey (Drew) Miles of Chapin; grandchildren, Logan Miles, Peyton Miles, Parker Carraway, Carter Carraway, Cooper Sams, Alexandra Coleman and Mackenzie Coleman; step-son, Brandon (Cindy) Puckett of New Jersey; step-daughter, Jennifer (Edward) Coleman of Lake City.
Susan was preceded in death by her mother, Jeanette Spring Barfield; paternal grandparents, HB and Annie Faye Barfield; maternal grandparents, Florie and Desie Spring.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Pleasant Grove Church of God of Prophecy, with burial to follow at Wilkes Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Carolina Funeral Home.
