Theron Caleb “Tink” Welch, 72, of New Zion, husband of the late Mary Jane “Pat” Welch, died Thursday, January 13, 2022, at McLeod Hospice House.
Mr. Welch was born on November 6, 1949, in Clarendon County, son of the late Jack Wilbur Welch and Eleanor Beard Welch. He was the retired owner and operator of “TWT”, Theron Welch Trucking, where he was known as "Hubcap". “Tink” was a member of Little Star Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he was a former deacon, then later in life he attended Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church. "Tink" was a loving husband to the love of his life, Pat, for 53 years; a devoted father, brother, Papa Tink to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a friend to all and never met a stranger.
Surviving are his children, Cherrish (Julio) Ramos, Lyz (Freddie) Huth, Jackie (Larry) Barrett, Angel (Robbie) Springs and Chancellar Welch; grandchildren, Julius Ramos, Codie McElveen, Kristan (Ericson) Coker, Bailey McElveen, Annsley McElveen, Jacob (Lakin) Barrett, Whit-Lee (Alex) Vining, Cheyanne (Nick) Smith, Zac (Summer) Barrett, Cassey Springs and Mallorie Springs; great grandchildren, McKinsley Barrett, Paisley Barrett, Wesley Barrett and Talon Vining; sisters, Oleta Rogers and Shirley Welch.
Mr. Welch was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Welch and a special brother, Peter McFadden.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, January 17, 2022, at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the church.
