Thomas "Tom" R. Yarborough

Mr. Thomas “Tom” R. Yarborough, 82, husband of the late Mary Gwynette Lynch Yarborough, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025.

Mr. Yarborough was born on April 08, 1943, in Florence County, son of the late Eunice John Yarborough and Thelma “Cindy” Lynch Yarborough of Coward. He was educated in Florence County Schools and was owner/operator of Yarborough’s Auto Repair of Coward. After retirement, he was owner/operator of Variety Gardens and immensely enjoyed gardening and propagating.

Surviving are daughter, Cindy (Joel) Gantt of Florence; son, Scott (Lori) Yarborough of Coward; grandchildren, Crystal Pate Knight and Bryan (Lynn) Pate; great grandchildren, Kaylee Gantt and Ava Grace Knight; many special nieces, nephews and friends; dear friends, Glen Turner, Wayne Lynch, George Lynch and Hansel Carmon.

Mr. Yarborough was preceded in death by sons, Ricky Dean Yarborough and John Dallas Yarborough; sisters, Cecil Yarborough, Nancy Yarborough Carmon, Susan Yarborough Brown, Ruby Yarborough Floyd, Debra Yarborough Miller and Betty Yarborough.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM, Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Carolina Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 PM in the chapel.
